Community Hospital Offers Support Group for Individuals With Communication Deficits

New Port Richey, Florida (March 19, 2009) – Community Hospital, the future Medical Center of Trinity, has announced that the next meeting of “Community Chatterboxes” will be held on Thursday, April 2 from 3 – 4 pm at Community Hospital Health Care Center, 5400 School Road, New Port Richey, Florida 34652.

“Community Chatterboxes” is a support group to assist individuals suffering from Communication Deficits (i.e., aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, etc.) as a result of a Cerebral Vascular Accident or other neurological disorders. “Community Chatterboxes” was originally established for outpatients that had been discharged from traditional speech therapy but still wished an outlet to practice and interact with others with the same problems. The group now welcomes anyone that may have a Communication Deficit and is in need of support.

The group meets every other Thursday from 3 pm to 4 pm. Care givers and spouses are encouraged to attend. For more information call 727-845-0757.
